Reverse Osmosis (RO) & Reverse Osmosis/Deionization System
RO and RO/DI systems remove impurities—chlorine, chloramines, pesticides, phosphates, heavy metals and many others—from tap water. These impurities may contribute to the growth of nuisance algae, while others can cause even larger problems.
DI (De-Ionizing) cartridges do an excellent job of removing phosphates, silicates and nitrates from tap water. They are highly recommended for reef tanks but work just as well for fish-only tanks.
There are a ton of installation accessories available for RO and RO/DI units, probably the most useful being a drinking water kit. Our top selling brands are Captive Purity, SpectraPure and Kent Marine.
Other tap water filtration systems are available, too, such as the Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Tap Water Filter and Poly Bio Marine Kold Set-il Filter System.
**Receive 15% off your replacement sediment filters, carbon filters, DI cartridges and membranes when you purchase RO/RODI unit from Marine Depot.
An easy-to-use, single-cartridge tap water filtration system that removes impurities from tap water, making perfect, deionized aquarium water.
Available in Deluxe and Power models, these RO units remove harmful substances such as heavy metal ions and total dissolved solids from tap water. The patented top-loading canister design makes it easy to check and replace cartridges.

The Kold Ster-il® uses three separate stages to sorb heavy metals. It doesn't remove calcium, magnesium divalent cations nor strip the water's alkaline reserve. Kold Ster-il's filtrate meets or exceeds ANSI/NSF Potable Water & FDA Bottled Water Quality Standards.
Pinnacle and Pinnacle+ RO units use the highest quality components available and feature modular design to ensure easy accessory add-ons.

The SpectraPure DWS offers superior pre-filtration and containment removal capabilities with high-capacity pur water storage tanks to ensure a continuous supply of purified water for you and your aquarium.
Produce contaminant-free water using a two- or three-stage RO unit from SpectraPure. These systems reject ionic, organic and particulate impurities and feature high-flow TFC membranes to produce water of the utmost quality.
For laboratory-grade, purified water, look no further than SpectraPure’s line of RO/DI systems. Water molecules are forced through the RO membrane leaving salts, hardness, bacteria, viruses, pyrogens and other impurities to be flushed from the system.
A compact high-quality RO unit for the easy production of pure water (RO water). For small and medium sized marine and freshwater aquariums. The Ion Exchanger is an additional filter fitted to the outgoing water outlet as a water hardener or silicate filter.
Find all the components needed to customize your RO system, such as Level controllers/shut off kits, booster pumps and drinking water kits.
